No FTX distribution provider: what exactly is unavailable?
Save the Step 8 text and check the country of residence shown in your details. The FTX help article on distribution providers explains that if a jurisdiction cannot be served, the distribution is postponed. The same page lists jurisdictions as of October 1, 2026: on that date, FTX distributions were unavailable in 44 jurisdictions, and you cannot choose a provider in the FTX portal there.
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, China, Colombia, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Fiji, Gabon, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lesotho, Libya, Macao, Malawi, Maldives, Moldova, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Qatar, Republic of the Congo, Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Ukraine, Western Sahara.
Check this list again before you act. We do not give a date for a new provider in this article: the postponement itself does not imply one. Specific service terms may differ from provider to provider.

Why a regular Kraken or BitGo account does not solve the problem
Logging in to a provider account and being connected to FTX distributions are two different things. Even if you already have an account, check what the official FTX portal shows for your claim.
Ask support a specific question: “I have an account with the provider, but the FTX portal shows it as unavailable. Which conditions apply to my claim, and is any action required from me?” Do not treat ordinary access to the service as confirmation that your distribution is ready.
Request → free review → agreement → video call → payment.
If your residence details are out of date
If you really have moved, or you found an error in your details, ask about the official procedure for updating them. Keep your request and the documents that prove your real circumstances. Changes may also affect your tax information.
Do not pick a country that is not yours just to get a different provider. False details are not a reliable basis for receiving a distribution and can raise extra questions during verification. What you should discuss is correcting a factual error, not substituting your details.
What to ask support
To get a useful answer, ask support four questions:
- Is the unavailability caused by my jurisdiction or by an unfinished step?
- What actions are expected from me now?
- Which notices and deadlines apply to my claim?
- How do I confirm that wrong details have been corrected?
State the proceeding, the exact status and the date of the message. If your claim is in the Bahamas proceeding, use the separate PwC channel and do not automatically apply the step numbering of the U.S. portal. Can you discuss a sale instead of waiting?
Yes. Reclaim Capital buys FTX claims from creditors in any country, including countries that currently have no distribution provider. The review is free, and we reply within 24 hours. The claim, the parties and the scope of rights are still checked: a change of holder does not cancel the mandatory checks.
Find out how much you can sell your FTX claim for: include its status and the message saying no provider is available. Terms are discussed for your specific claim. For what to prepare in advance, see the checklist of documents for a sale.
What to keep until new information appears
Put portal messages, support replies and the notices that concern you into a single timeline. When the status changes, add a new entry and keep the old one. This helps you tell a newly available action apart from a repeated general message.
If you receive a notice with a specific deadline, review it separately. One example is objection No. 200 and the Kroll KYC deadlines. Do not apply someone else’s deadline to your own claim, and do not assume all obligations are suspended because no provider is available.
