1. Are you checking the right proceeding?
Start with the portal where your claim is being reviewed. The U.S. FTX proceeding and the FTX Digital Markets proceeding in the Bahamas each have their own instructions and contact channels. A stage message in one portal cannot be automatically applied to the other.
For the Bahamas proceeding, use the PwC FAQ. For more on the Bahamas proceeding, see our analysis “FTX PwC Bahamas: strict KYC and blocked distributions”. From here on, the names Step 7, Step 8 and Step 9 refer to the U.S. portal. State the proceeding in the first line of your request so that it is not routed the wrong way.

2. What is your claim status?
Copy the status exactly as shown, without interpreting it. The FTX Distributions Dashboard FAQ explains the statuses and eligibility conditions. For example, Disputed alone does not tell you which specific issue affects your claim.
If you don’t remember your claim number, find it on our page “Find your FTX claim”.
Check the amount separately: the filed, allowed and disputed portions may differ. If the notice gives a reason for the dispute, attach it to your question to support. Do not replace your claim status with the assumption that “the money is gone.”
Request → free review → agreement → video call → payment.
3. Do you have confirmation that KYC is complete?
Uploading documents and a completed review are different stages. Check whether a request for additional information is still open, whether there is a review result, and when the last notice arrived. Keep these details together.
If you recently answered a request, give the date and the ticket number. Instead of sending the same files again, ask: have the materials been received, and is anything else needed from me?
4. What does the Step 7 tax stage show?
Check the message about your tax information. Do not choose a form just because another creditor used it: your circumstances may differ. If the stage is unavailable or the information was not accepted, save the exact wording.
In your request, keep a technical portal problem separate from a question about filling in the tax form. These are different issues. For personal tax obligations, you may need separate professional advice.
5. Is Step 8 complete with the provider?
Check the provider connection status, including the Onboarding Complete mark. FTX providers currently include BitGo, Kraken and Payoneer; see the official help center for the current list and countries. Having a regular account with a provider does not mean it is connected to FTX distributions. The available options and requirements are listed in the official DSP help article.
If no provider is available, write down the portal message and the jurisdiction shown. If there is no provider at all for your country, see our analysis “FTX: no distribution provider for your country”. If registration started but did not finish, ask the relevant support team at which step it stopped. Do not change your details to inaccurate ones just to make a different button appear.
6. What does the specific distribution show?
Compare the entry in the distributions dashboard with the provider’s incoming payment history. Write down the date, amount and payment message. When one side shows a transfer and the other shows no credit, your question should include both records.
Confirm the applicable record date and the participation requirements for your specific distribution. Do not set yourself a new deadline based on old news, and do not treat a missing payment as proof that you have lost your whole claim. If your portal already shows Forfeited, read how a deferral differs from Forfeiture.
Before you write to support, go through the six checks in order:
- Proceeding: the U.S. portal or the Bahamas PwC proceeding.
- Claim status: the exact text from the portal.
- KYC: is the review complete, and is there a new request?
- Step 7: has the tax form been accepted?
- Step 8: does the provider show Onboarding Complete?
- Distribution: the entry in the FTX Customer Portal and the credit at the provider.
If you still haven’t found the cause, move on to your request.
FTX distribution not received: what to write to support
Outline of a short request
Template in English (FTX support replies in English):
«My claim is under the [US / Bahamas] process. The portal shows the status [exact text]. For the distribution of [date] I see [message]. KYC: [status], tax information: [status], distribution provider: [status]. Please clarify which step is blocking my participation and whether any action is required from me.»
In plain terms:
“My claim is in the [proceeding]. The portal shows the status [exact text]. For the distribution of [date] I see [message]. KYC: [status], tax information: [status], provider: [status]. Please tell me which step is preventing my participation and whether I need to take any action.”
This is an editorial template; fill it in with your own confirmed details. If you are thinking about selling, find out how much you can sell your FTX claim for. A sale is assessed individually and does not replace the mandatory checks.
